Not to miss! View all the outstanding and excellent art entries for the Rotary Young Artist Competition. They will be on display this weekend.Shepperton and Sunbury Rotary Club have again held a children's Art competition and six schools from Shepperton and Sunbury took part. We have an exhibition of the Artwork in The Rainbow Rising Charity Shop in The Heart, Walton on Thames. Please do come along and see the amazing artwork this year. We will be open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday 15 th May and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday 16th May.

Our Year 6s will be taking the National Curriculum Tests (SATs) this week. They have already made us so proud with how hard they have worked and the effort they have applied. As is tradition, the children were presented with a selection of small gifts to remind them of some key lesson they have learnt along the way about bouncing back, thinking flexibly, smiling anyway, shining always. They were also presented with the poem that had been written for our year 6s at KMPS.
"You have not sat a paper yet
Those tests we’ve still to see,
But this we know, the truth is clear:
More proud, we could not be.
We’ve seen the truth
We know right now
You’ve worked so hard
Caused us to ‘wow!’
What makes you great is so much more
Than test answers, or standard score.
It’s who you are, how you respond,
Your character and life beyond.
The things you love,
The skills you’ve shared
Your sense of fun
The way you’ve cared
These things we cannot measure
We cannot give a mark
But yet they matter most of all
It’s these that bring your spark!"
