Our Year 6s will be taking the National Curriculum Tests (SATs) this week. They have already made us so proud with how hard they have worked and the effort they have applied. As is tradition, the children were presented with a selection of small gifts to remind them of some key lesson they have learnt along the way about bouncing back, thinking flexibly, smiling anyway, shining always. They were also presented with the poem that had been written for our year 6s at KMPS.
"You have not sat a paper yet
Those tests we’ve still to see,
But this we know, the truth is clear:
More proud, we could not be.
We’ve seen the truth
We know right now
You’ve worked so hard
Caused us to ‘wow!’
What makes you great is so much more
Than test answers, or standard score.
It’s who you are, how you respond,
Your character and life beyond.
The things you love,
The skills you’ve shared
Your sense of fun
The way you’ve cared
These things we cannot measure
We cannot give a mark
But yet they matter most of all
It’s these that bring your spark!"
Go for it Year 6! We are all cheering you on!

What a fantastic day our Early Years children in Nursery and Preschool have had today! We were delighted to welcome a mobile farm to school, giving the children a wonderful hands-on experience with a variety of animals. 🐾
The children met and interacted with goats, miniature pigs, goslings, rabbits, and sheep — and there were plenty of smiles, excitement, and gentle cuddles all around! 🐖🐥
It was a brilliant opportunity for the children to learn more about animals, how to care for them, all while building confidence and curiosity.
A huge thank you to the mobile farm team for such an enjoyable and memorable experience — it’s safe to say the children absolutely loved it! 💚
