We have an action-packed, not-to-be-missed three days ahead for our children. The last three days are filled with opportunities to celebrate the year, celebrate our wonderful year 6s who are leaving, share in a SkillsBuilder Adventure Day, and spend time with our friends before the Summer break.
We will also be sharing more news about our school wrap around care launching in September.

Today is sports day for years 1-6. We will keep events prompt and short. There will be additional gazebo and water pit stops. Please ensure your child comes to school with sun cream applied, sun hats and water bottles even if they do not want them! If you are spectating, please do the same. Thank you!

As part of our ‘Wholehearted Award Programme’🥉 children in year 6 carried out some research with their Reception buddy and have been busy writing rules and creating a game that they will take, play and give to their buddy as a leaving gift. The games are coming along beautifully!

Fifa says, “if football were a nation, it would be the largest on the planet. If football were a language it would be spoken all around the world. No matter where you are from, no matter who you are, if you love football you belong to the biggest club on the planet. Football unites the world.”
As a school, we love that our national team has a place in the semi-finals. We want to enable all our children to be able celebrate this and support them.
On Wednesday we will be inviting children to wear the colours of the sporting teams they support, whether this is local or a national team, whether this is rugby, football, or athletics – whether this is for England or another nation.
I will most definitely be in red and white (Go England!) – but children can wear colours or sports kits of their choosing.
We want sport to bring us together and give us cause to celebrate!
We also recognise some children find wearing different clothes difficult; they are welcome to wear clothes they feel most happy wearing. Some children will prefer to wear their school uniform. As long as the clothes they choose are practical, safe and help them to stay cool – we want our children to feel they can be themselves.
