Yesterday, 16 children from TWGHS Yin Sum Primary School, Hong Kong, immersed themselves in learning alongside our year 6 children. It was a wonderful experience for all the children involved. who would have thought that the game 'tag' is an international language all of its own?! What a wonderful experience for all involved. At the end of the day a special work of art was gifted to the school. The blossom representing our children flourishing, and the birds representing knowledge coming to each of our children.
It was a fantastic day of learning and friendship.

We are looking forward to welcoming our children back on Monday!
Please help us by ensuring your child is arriving at the gate no later that 8.45 am so they are ready for lessons.
This is important time for catching up with their friends and teachers, ready for the day ahead.

We do not have typical governing body at KMPS, one that focuses on finance, HR, buildings, policies, procedures. Instead we work across our locality with Meadhurst Primary and Thomas Knyvett College. Our local board supports and challenges us to consider how we can collaborate better to improve the lives of young people and families.
We are looking to recruit local board members who have a heart for the young people of Sunbury and Ashford, members who can support us in listening well to the feedback we receive, and challenge us to work better with local partners, agencies and each other as schools in our community.
Commitment:
4 evening meetings per year. (some key documents and surveys will need to be read ahead of the meeting)
3 days across the year to spend time in our schools.
If you would like to find out more, contact our
Headteacher (Lee Herdman): principal@kmps.thpt.org.uk
or email our Trust Lead: contact@thpt.org.uk

Please share with others in our community who might be suited to this kind of role.

After 8 days of hard trekking, -15 temperatures, snow storms, no hot water for 6 days, barely eating because of high altitude, long scary climbs, Miss Covell has made it to Mount Everest Base Camp!
Miss Covell has messaged to say, "the past few days have been super tough... every step was a battle but we made it!!" We have sent our best wishes and congratulations to her, celebrating her achievement at making it, her response, "there have been times in the past 48 hours I wasn't sure I would... toughest thing I have ever done!'
Well done Miss Covell - you remind us that we are all far more capable than we could even imagine! We look forward to hearing more when you are back and have recovered! #wholehearted
