Reception offers 2026
Information for parents and carers
Welcome to Kenyngton Manor Primary School
We are delighted that your child has been offered a place at KMPS, and we look forward to welcoming your family to the school.
We aim to bring out the best in all our pupils by giving them access to a broad and rich curriculum. This enables them to ‘stretch and reach’ – up, in, out and forwards.
The children benefit from spacious classrooms, a dedicated sports hall (separate to the main school hall) and extensive grounds. These provide plentiful opportunities for outdoor learning, play and sports.
This page brings together the key information you may need as your child prepares to start at KMPS. If there is anything you would like to ask, please contact the school office — we will be very happy to help.

Why KMPS?
Our families value KMPS because of our:
- Strong results – our outcomes are consistently above the national average. Read more about our latest results here

- Calm and caring culture – during a recent visit, Ofsted found that, “pupils progress well because staff identify what each pupil needs.” Inspectors reported that we were at expected standard or strong standard in every category
- Excellent facilities – including spacious classrooms, a dedicated sports hall (separate to the main school hall) and extensive grounds
Reception at KMPS: what to expect
Starting school is an exciting step. We work hard to make sure every child feels happy, confident and secure from the very beginning.
In Reception, children learn through a balance of play, exploration and structured teaching, following the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Our experienced staff create a calm and caring environment where children quickly settle into school life, make friends and begin to develop the skills they need for the future.
